Ovals Garden
A professional couple and their young child in a new housing development required a garden that would allow them to socialise, relax and play, whilst giving them the opportunity to tend to the garden. The client expressed a preference for ovals and hardwood decking. To this end, a series of interlinking ovals were incorporated into the space.
The main deck incorporates integral lighting, a stainless steel tension wire balustrade and built in bench. This links the house to the oval walkway which surrounds the oval lawn. A step down to a smaller oval deck with a built in bench gets the late day sun where the owners are able to relax at the end of the day.
To the rear of the garage is a passage way with narrow beds on either side for growing vegetables. This passage way leads to a play area with a living willow play den, safety play surfacing which also follows the oval theme and sleeper sand pit.
